Summer Camp 2008 Facts:

465 Campers attended summer camp (up 2% from 2007)

Stone Church of the Brethren (Huntingdon) had the most campers with 40 - Wow!

81 Campers received scholarships - over $10,000 worth

Nearly 9000 meals were served

'They Baptized Jesse Taylor' was sung after lunches over 25 times

There were Zero ambulance or hospital runs

Camp Blue Diamond passed its American Camp Association Visit

The Trading Post sold out of tie-dye shirts and canvas bags again

$585 was raised to plant fruit trees and tree nurseries in Sudan and Guatemala

3rd & 4th graders are invited to come to CBD for an overnight retreat on Oct. 31 & Nov. 1. Activities include: games, crafts, singing, a campfire and a scavenger hunt. In our special Bible Study we’ll discover the many forms of God that are revealed in the Bible.

Come see your summer camp friends and counselors. Meals & activities are in the Lodge - Sleeping will be in the new cabins, so bring your sleeping bad and pillow. The retreat starts at 7p.m. Friday, and ends Saturday at 3p.m. Cost is $25 ($20 if you register by Oct. 20)

Middler Retreat

5th & 6th graders are invited to come to CBD for the Middler Retreat: Nov. 14 - 16. Our session leader will be Pastor Marlys Hershberger who will show us what it means to be a friend, and how to make friends. This retreat will be packed full of games, singing, worship, crafts and fun!

We'll be in the Main Lodge, and sleeping in the new cabins, so be sure to bring your sleeping bag and pillow. The retreat starts at 7p.m. Friday, and ends Sunday at 1:30p.m. Cost is $48 ($40 if you register by Nov. 3)
